Hi there! My name is Gabriela, and I’m so happy you’re here!
I’m originally from the U.S. and I hold a Bachelor’s in Family and Human Development and a Master’s in Elementary Education. I’ve worked as a substitute teacher, student teacher, and private tutor for kids and young athletes. I’ve taught students from kindergarten through high school, and I truly love helping people grow in both skill and confidence.
I grew up in a bilingual household, speaking both Spanish and English, and I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to be able to communicate in more than one language. It’s opened so many doors for me personally and professionally, and I really admire anyone who’s taking on the challenge of learning a new language—because I know it’s not easy!
I'm moving to Japan with my husband, who will be playing professional basketball out there. I’ve started learning Japanese myself, and let me just say—it’s tough, but I’m trying! ? That experience has given me even more appreciation for students who are learning English or any new language. I understand how intimidating it can feel, and that’s why I make sure my lessons are always supportive, patient, and fun.
As a tutor, I focus on building strong relationships and creating a space where every student feels safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow. I can help with English conversation, pronunciation, reading, writing, or tutoring for younger learners. My background in education and sports has taught me the value of discipline, structure, and encouragement—all of which I bring to my lessons.
Whether you’re just starting out or want to take your English to the next level, I’d love to support you. Let’s learn and grow together!
