Diana R 講師的自我介紹
Hi there! My name is Diana and I'm a doctor currently in the Philippines. Growing up in Hong Kong, I consider myself a native English speaker with just enough Cantonese to manage a quick conversation.
-My Hobbies and Interests-
I love reading and gardening and lately, I've been trying to improve my cooking and drawing skills.
Once travel restrictions have been eased and people are free to travel again, I would love to try out the hiking trails that a country has to offer and just bask in nature's beauty. For Japan, I would love to visit Koyasan and walk the pilgrimage trails of Kumano Kodo
-Qualifications and Teaching Experience-
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Medical Degree. I've been working as a doctor for the past year, but I like to teach in my spare time.
I've had at least 3 years of teaching experience. I have taught large groups during public health teachings , classroom discussions and research presentations as well as privately tutored elementary and college students in English and Science.
-My Lessons on Cafetalk-
I offer classes for both beginner and advanced English speakers.
My classes for beginners will mainly focus on reading comprehension, increasing vocabulary and getting comfortable speaking everyday English.
Classes for advanced students will include lessons focused on Business English and Medical English.
For classes focused on Business English, I can help you practice for presentations and speeches and proofread your documents.
For classes focused on Medical English, I can teach you common medical terminologies, help you communicate better with English-speaking patients, role-play common scenarios at the Emergency Room and proofread your English presentations.
-My Teaching Style-
My teaching style is relaxed, interactive and supportive.
The materials used in my class varies depending on the lesson and I will inform you of my references before we begin class, but if you would like to use a specific learning material, feel free to inform me so that I will use it in the lesson.
During class, feel free to tell me if you want to slow down the pace or speed it up or even repeat a topic.
It’s fine with me since our goal is for you to enjoy and be comfortable while learning.
