Hello! My name is Sayo. 

I’m a Japanese tutor from Kyoto, Japan.

Since graduate school, I’ve been teaching Japanese in many settings, from volunteering to universities and high schools, both in Japan and abroad.
Through these experiences, I’ve worked with learners who have different goals, backgrounds, and learning styles.

I’m also a language learner myself.
I’m currently studying French, and I understand how personal and sometimes challenging language learning can be.

I aim to offer gentle, flexible support, tailored to each learner a place where you can think, ask questions, and move forward at your own pace.

If you’re looking for a calm and friendly space to support your Japanese learning, I’d be happy to study with you! :)
