Hello! My name is Roxy and I’m a Filipino-American, TESOL-certified, native English and Tagalog speaker. I have been teaching for 10 years and have had students from many Asian countries, namely Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. I can help you with conversational and business English, IELTS, OPic, and many more. I also have worked in healthcare, marketing, and leadership and can share additional insights you can use in your own work experiences. 


My hobbies are doing yoga, Pilates, and dancing. I try to squeeze these in my schedule at least 3 times a week because as a working mother in my 40s, I am aware that health should be one of my priorities.

I also like to travel when I have the time (and budget!). I have been to Mexico, Kenya, England, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, China, and Japan. I am originally from San Francisco, California USA, but right now I'm living in the Philippines with my husband and daughter. 

My classes are calm and low-pressure. We can do free conversation to build confidence, or I can prepare materials in advance if you prefer a more structured lesson. With me, you get to choose what works best for you.
