Let’s have fun speaking Japanese together! /
Hello! I’m Yurie, a native Japanese speaker.
I have been working as an English teacher at a high school in Japan for eight years. While I usually teach English to Japanese high school students, I also love learning foreign languages myself. I currently study English and Korean.
When learning a foreign language, have you ever felt like, “I understand the grammar and vocabulary, but when I actually try to speak, I can’t find the words”?
As a language learner myself, I understand that feeling very well.
That’s why, in my lessons, I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes and use as much Japanese as possible.
*What are my lessons like?
My lessons mainly focus on everyday conversation and topic-based discussions in Japanese.
For example, we can talk about:
・Japanese food and travel
・Japanese school life
・Japanese culture and seasonal events
・Everyday life in Japan
・Hobbies and things you enjoy
・Something interesting that happened recently
You can also request a topic you’d like to talk about!
My lessons are more than just free conversation. When appropriate, I’ll give you helpful feedback on unnatural expressions and grammar that come up during our conversation.
If you’re ever wondering, “Is this Japanese natural?” or “Can I really say it this way?”, please feel free to ask me!
*My lessons are perfect for:
・Students who want more opportunities to practice speaking Japanese
・Students who don’t have many opportunities to talk with native Japanese speakers
・Students who want to learn natural Japanese rather than just textbook Japanese
・Students who are interested in Japanese culture and everyday life in Japan
・Students who want to speak Japanese without worrying too much about making mistakes
I’ll do my best to create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere that matches your Japanese level and learning goals.
I hope my lessons will help you not only learn Japanese, but also discover the joy of connecting with someone through Japanese:)
Feel free to join me anytime!
I look forward to meeting you!
