Hello 皆さん! おはよう、こんにちは　and こんばんは! I'm Mr. Jesse from the USA!

After trying my hand at tutoring while still a university student I just had to combine my interest in Japan with my new-found love of teaching. I immediately applied for and got a job teaching in an after school English program in Ibaraki and have mostly been there ever since.

I'm TESOL/TEFL certified and have over 11 years of experience as an ESL teacher teaching kids in preschool, kindergarten, elementary, junior, and high school levels.

My methodology is simple, I believe learning a language should, first and foremost, be fun and entertaining. Through the use of flashcards, useful expressions, TPR (Total Physical Response) and best of all GAMES, I can help your kids improve their vocabulary and pronunciation in a fun and engaging way!

Not a kid but looking to speak English with a native? Then you’ve come to the right place! I also have several years of experience teaching 1-on-1 lessons with adults!

When I’m not planning our next family vacation, I can usually be found undertaking some form of exercise. From walking, running, yoga, weight training, to calisthenics, I keep myself quite busy. When relaxing, I read, learn Japanese, or spend time teaching my son English.
