Hello, my name is Florence and I live in northern France. I have a DAEFLE diploma, which is a teaching qualification for French as a foreign language, and I started teaching French in April 2025 during my working holiday visa in Japan. I already had teaching experience from my previous jobs (particularly when I was a laboratory technician assisting high school and university students). In my opinion, sharing knowledge is very important and valuable, especially when it’s a foreign language. Language opens doors to a country's culture and social codes. This is especially true with French, as there are many French-speaking countries around the world, each with its own approach and culture.
My working holiday visa in Japan was an incredible experience, both culturally and personally. I travelled with my dog, Saku (咲く), a papillon dog. I'm happy to have been able to share this journey with her! I also encountered difficulties during my time abroad, but that's all part of the adventure! I had the opportunity to visit Shikoku Island and Yamaguchi Prefecture, among other places, and meet some incredible people. I plan to continue learning Japanese from France and return in a few years. There are still many regions I want to discover!
Let's enjoy learning together! :)

I welcome all levels of French learners so feel free to contact me! However I don't accept children under 12 yo, I don't feel qualified enough to do it sorry.
My methodology is simple: to learn a language you need to practice it as much as possible. My lessons will not focus mainly on grammar, the points learnt will be practised through conversation but also the discovery of different media (for example videos in French outside mainland France), reading, role-play and pronunciation exercises. The aim is for you to be able to use what you have learnt in straightforward exercises in real-life situations.
I specialise in Scientific French as a previous lab technician in microbiology. If you need to learn French in a scientific context (to study in a French University, for your job or even by interest), I can teach you by using my personal experience in different fields and laboratories.
If you have a specific goal in mind, I can tailor a full customised course for your needs. From the grammar points you need to know, the vocabulary in context, exercices and specifics practices. Feel free to send me a message to explain your situation and we can talk together about your project, what I can offer you and the price.
