Ciao! I'm Marina, a native Italian teacher with 15 years of experience, a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, and a Master's in Teaching. I've been living in Spain for 16 years. I also speak Spanish and English fluently.

My name on Cafetalk is "Caffè con Marina" because I believe learning a language should feel like having a coffee among friends: warm, authentic, and pressure-free.

I'm an easy-going, patient, and curious person. I love cinema, music, reading, cooking and travelling - and in my lessons we can explore Italian films, songs, books, food and travel together. Learning a language is a journey, not a duty. Before we start, we talk about your goals, your interests, and your level. Together, we build a path tailored to your needs, and we adjust it as you progress.

I teach through real communication, because I believe that's how a language truly comes alive. I'm also a precise and organized teacher: I prepare structured lessons tailored to your level, and I can follow a more academic approach if you need one. And since I'm a good listener, I adapt to your pace, pay attention to what you need, and always cheer you on.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced student, I'll guide you with the approach that works best for you.

My lessons are dynamic, fun, and personalized. I use engaging activities to keep you involved and motivated. They're a safe and pleasant space, where you can express yourself freely, make mistakes without fear, and improve while enjoying yourself.

I use authentic materials — articles, videos, songs, movie scenes, podcasts — to help you learn real Italian. Lessons are conducted in Italian, with support in English or Spanish if needed.

I have experience with students from all over the world, including Asian students. My goal is to make you feel at ease, whatever your native language is. I also offer special support for Spanish speakers, providing explanations and materials in Spanish if needed.

What I offer:

  • Conversation (short and long)

  • Grammar (quick pills and structured courses)

  • Italian culture

  • Lesson Packs: packages of 4 classes for those who want a structured path and want to save. Check them out on my profile!

  • Detailed written feedback after every lesson (excluding the trial): a summary, new vocabulary, new expressions, and grammar notes. A handy PDF to review, so you can study on your own, at your own pace.
