I am a native English speaker from the USA and have been living in Japan since 1993. As an English teacher, I focus on pronunciation to improve speaking and listening abilities. In lessons with me, you will learn daily/common American English as well as American idioms and slang.
I am a long term tutor for long term learners. Most of my students have been with me for over a year, the longest are 5+ years. I like to get to know my students, what their interests are, what they like to do, about their families, and everyday lives.
I have 10 years of business experience working in a Fortune 20 company in Tokyo as an IT engineer and Project Manager. I am also ex-US military stationed in Okinawa and have been living in Japan for 20+ years now.
I love sports, mostly American football, basketball & baseball, and cooking. I have a variety of hobbies/interests so we can talk about many different things/topics during the lessons.
