RicardoUK 講師的自我介紹
Hello! My name is Ricardo (リカルド), and I’m a British English teacher living in Japan.
I am from Southport (near Liverpool) in the UK and I decided to move to Japan to experience living in a totally different country. I love Japan because of the many interesting places, delicious food, the convenience of public transport, the cleanliness and safety!
I have over 10 years of English teaching experience at eikaiwa in Japan, including one of the major companies. I enjoy helping students improve their speaking confidence through relaxed and natural conversation.
My lessons are friendly and comfortable, with gentle corrections to help you sound more natural in English. I understand that speaking a foreign language can feel stressful sometimes, so I try to create a calm atmosphere where you can speak freely and confidently. I have been told my accent is clear and easy to understand and I match my speed to you - I can slow down for beginners and speed up for more advanced students.
Currently I am teaching a "Relaxed English Conversation with Gentle Corrections" class. The aim of the class is to talk about a topic of your choice and then at the end give feedback on the most important points. I think talking about a topic of your choice makes the class more fun for you and also for me too!
I can support students with:
- daily conversation
- speaking confidence
- pronunciation
- natural British English
- vocabulary and expressions
- gentle correction during conversation
I also speak Japanese at an intermediate level (JLPT N2), so I understand many of the difficulties Japanese learners face when studying English.
My lessons are especially suitable for:

- students who feel nervous speaking English
- people who want relaxed conversation practice
- learners who want natural corrections without pressure
