Hi, I'm Anny—your Cantonese & Mandarin teacher from Guangzhou.
Struggling to speak Cantonese or Mandarin naturally?
Want your child to actually enjoy learning?
Need Chinese that works for real life—work, travel, or chatting with friends?
That's exactly where I can help.
Why choose me?
• 7 years teaching experience | CTCSOL certified
• Former overseas summer camp teacher—I know how to work with kids
• 8 years in Chinese-Japanese interpreter & trade—I know real-world Chinese
I don't just teach the language. I help you use it—in the right situations, with the right words, just like native speakers do.
⭐️What's my class like?
If you're looking for a teacher for your child
I've taught many children—online and offline, in China and abroad (like volunteering at a overseas elementary school summer camp).
So I know: different children need different approaches.
⭐️Here's what I can do for your child:
✅ Learn while having fun—Games, songs, role-play. Children learn fastest when they're enjoying themselves.
✅ Start speaking with pictures—A simple park scene, from single words to sentences, gradually building up to real conversations.
✅ Understand through stories—Good picture books have magic. Children naturally pick up Chinese as we read together.
I use patience to encourage your child. Take it slow, and they'll relax and start speaking. I help them feel "I can do this." Each class has small challenges that give them a sense of achievement and build their confidence.
⚠️ Note: I don't teach children under 3.
If you're an adult learner
I learned Japanese from zero to advanced myself, so I truly understand the feelings of language learning—that frustration of understanding but not being able to respond, that nervousness of being afraid to make mistakes.
⭐️Here's what I can do for you:
✅ Listen first
Before our first class, I want to hear your thoughts: Why do you want to learn Chinese? For work? Travel? Just for fun? Long-term or short-term? Then we'll decide together what and how to learn.
✅ Practice grammar with pictures
Whatever your level, I use pictures to create situations where you practice new structures—until they become habits that come naturally, not rules in your head.
✅ Remember characters through association
Want to remember a character? We'll draw pictures, make up stories, create little rhymes. I've used this method with many students—it really works.
✅ Learn real Chinese
I use what people in China are actually reading and watching—news, short videos. If we use textbooks, I pick the most recent ones.
✅ Give you a safe space to practice
Making mistakes in my class? Truly not a problem. I make mistakes in Japanese too—it's completely normal. I'll help you correct them, but I won't make you feel embarrassed.
⭐️I'll help you notice your progress. It might be something you use right away on a trip, or suddenly understanding when ordering at a restaurant, orhaving a call to your Chinese grandfather, or having your first five-minute conversation with a Chinese speaker. I'll point these moments out—because sometimes you don't realize how far you've come.
⭐️If you'd like to give it a try
Before the trial lesson, just share with me:
• Have you studied Chinese before? What's your level?
• What's your goal?
• What kind of class do you like? (Casual conversation? Lots of practice?)
Based on what you tell me, I'll prepare a trial lesson that actually fits you—so you can get a real feel for what learning with me is like.
⭐️ Hope to meet you in the classroom.
