Hello! I’m Joy ?, an online English teacher from South Africa.

 I have a Bachelor’s degree, an Honours degree in Philosophy, and I’m currently pursuing my Masters degree in Philosophy ?. I know firsthand the challenges of studying while working or learning something new, including learning a new language. This experience helps me understand and support my students every step of the way.

I’m passionate about helping students feel confident and comfortable using English, whether it’s for work, travel, or everyday conversations. I’m friendly, patient, and supportive, and I make sure each lesson is productive, enjoyable, and tailored to your goals.

When my students tell me:

  • “I can finally watch English shows without subtitles!”

  • “I feel more confident talking to my colleagues in English!”

…it makes me proud as a teacher. My goal is for every student to feel proud of their progress, no matter their level.
