Nice to meet you! I’m Emma, a German language tutor.
★Self Introduction★
I graduated from the University of Jena in Germany. I majored in “Deutsch als Fremdsprache (German as a second language)“, which is equivalent to the Japanese language teacher training department in Japan, so I have expertise in teaching German to non-native speakers. I also experienced an educational internship at a university in Kyoto, where I was in charge of beginner and intermediate level German conversation classes for about a month.
★About my lessons★
My lessons focus on learning to communicate in German. Specifically, I try to avoid using formal grammar terms, and instead, focus on learning common expressions that are used in daily life, so that students can naturally learn grammar rules. My lessons are not suitable for students who want to focus on grammar, but it is recommended for students who would like to focus on their conversation skills, or students who are not keen on grammatical terms. There are also lessons where you can learn not only the language but also the customs and culture of the German-speaking regions.
For more information, please refer to the details of each lesson.
★Interests★
My interests are learning other languages and traveling. In addition to German, I can speak English, French, Korean, and to a lesser extent Russian and Luxembourgish. I can also offer advice on learning another language if you would like.
I also like mascots and characters, and am a big fan of professional baseball mascots, Rilakkuma, and Pokemon. Especially Pokémon, I’ve watched almost the entire anime in German!
Thank you for taking the time to read this far. I look forward to seeing you in class!^^
