What are Shio’s (시오) lessons like?

＜Recommended for the following students＞
  • Those who want to improve their listening skills.
    (You can’t see the other person’s mouth, so your listening ability will improve.)
  • Those who want to speak Korean without feeling intimidated.
  • Those who are not comfortable talking on the phone.
    (I will adjust my pace.)
  • Those who are not sure about what to talk about.
    (Don’t worry, I’ll lead the conversation if this is the case!)
  • Those who want to take lessons without worrying how they look.
    (You don’t have to wear make-up, and you can even take lessons right after waking up.)



 

I can speak Japanese at a daily conversational level.


I took a break from university during my junior year
to go on a working holidayin Tokyo.
I studied natural Japanese while working at Mos Burger for a year.
After that, I took the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1 (JLPT N1) and have continued to study Japanese.

If you find it difficult to find the right Korean words to express yourself during your lesson, please feel free to say so in Japanese.
I will teach you the right Korean expressions.


After each lesson, I will send you Feedback as well as tips on how to study in the future.
You can work on various skills such as input, output, etc.
(I provide long and detailed feedback to all students, so don’t feel discouraged TㅅT and don’t think that you made so many mistakes! ^ㅇ^/)



I have been in an environment where I speak standard Korean all my life.

My name is Shio.

“Shio” is actually not my real name, but it is my cat’s name.
My real name is hard to pronounce in Japanese, so I use my cat’s name when teaching instead.

I named my cat “Shio” because they joined our family on October 5th (시월오일, “Si” = "10" or the month of "Ocotber," and “O” = "5" or "5th day").
Cat owners and anyone who wants to chat about cats are welcome! ^ㅅ^
