Dear Cafetalk Community,
This is going to take a lot of courage on my part to show my latest acting work to you. I play a Japanese immigrant (probably illegal) living in Canada. She's living with a big Punjabi Family and renting one of their rooms because it's cheap. She's hiding and doesn't want to be noticed by anyone. Thus, the no-makeup and drab-colored clothes among other things. Also, it's a comedy!

Thus, the no-makeup and drab-colored clothes among other things. Also, it's a comedy!
If you know me in person, you know I've never left my house without makeup. This part is kind of a stretch, but now that I've done it, I can understand it suits the part. Even when I was without a stitch of makeup, the director kept saying, "Too pretty, too pretty!" "But . . . it's my face???," I wanted to reply.
Anyway, please be forewarned because I look pretty frightening. I edited out my parts on the show, so it's very short. We already made 6 episodes so far and I'm hoping the show will get picked up to make more episodes. I'm not used to myself looking quite this way, but at least, for once, I can say that I didn't get the part because of my "looks"! I think I did my job--I do look like a goofball!

親愛なるカフェトークの皆さん、
私の最新の演技を皆さんにお見せするのは、とても勇気のいることです。私はカナダに住む日本人移民（おそらく不法滞在）の役です。彼女はパンジャブ人の大家族と一緒に住んでいて、安いので彼らの部屋を借りています。彼女は隠れていて、誰にも気づかれたくない。そのため、化粧もせず、地味な色の服を着ている。また、コメディでもある！
私のことを直接知っている人なら、私がノーメイクで家を出たことがないことを知っているだろう。この役はちょっと無理があるけど、やってみると役に合っているのがわかる。ノーメイクのときも、監督は "きれいすぎる、きれいすぎる！"と言い続けた。「でも......私の顔なんですけど......」と答えたかった。
とにかく、私はかなり怖い顔なので、あらかじめご了承ください。番組では私のパートを編集したので、とても短いです。今のところすでに6エピソードを作ったので、もっとエピソードを作るために番組がピックアップされることを期待している。でも少なくとも、今回ばかりは「ルックス」で役をもらったわけではないと言える！私は自分の仕事をしたと思う！
