Description

Do you like making up stories, imagining new worlds, or telling people what happened?

In this creative English lesson, your child will become the storyteller.

We'll use pictures, characters, objects, story prompts, and imagination to create stories together. Your child will practise describing people and places, explaining events, connecting ideas, and telling a story in their own words.

I'll provide guidance and useful vocabulary when needed, but there isn't one "perfect" story.

The goal is to help your child use English creatively and confidently.

What we'll practise:

• Speaking in complete sentences
• Describing people, places, and events
• Using new vocabulary creatively
• Connecting ideas using words such as "first," "then," "because," and "finally"
• Using adjectives and descriptive language
• Developing a beginning, middle, and ending
• Expressing ideas and imagination in English
• Speaking with greater confidence and fluency

By the end of the lesson, your child will:

✓ Have created and told their own English story
✓ Have practised speaking in complete sentences
✓ Have learned and used new vocabulary
✓ Be better able to organise ideas into a sequence
✓ Have practised describing characters, places, and events
✓ Have experienced using English creatively rather than simply answering questions

There are no wrong ideas in a story.
