Description:
This lesson teaches students how to write articles, summaries, or short research reports. Students will practice gathering information, organizing ideas logically, and presenting them clearly in writing. It is ideal for academic projects, blogging, or article submissions.

Lesson Flow:

  1. Warm-up Discussion (3 min)

    • Talk about topics the student is interested in writing about.

    • Discuss sources of information (books, articles, internet).

  2. Introduction to Article & Research Writing (7 min)

    • Structure: title, introduction, main points, conclusion.

    • Summarizing information accurately and avoiding plagiarism.

    • Using linking words and transition phrases for coherence.

  3. Guided Writing Activity (10 min)

    • Student writes a short article or summary based on a topic or short research passage.

    • Focus on clarity, structure, and logical flow.

  4. Review & Feedback (5 min)

    • Highlight strong points, correct errors, and suggest improvements.

    • Discuss vocabulary choice and coherence.
