Lesson Pack Details

- This is a lesson pack of 4 lessons in total. When you send the request for the first lesson, points for all 4 lessons will be deducted at once.
- Once the tutor confirms the first request, “100% OFF coupons” that can be used for the remaining 3 requests will be issued automatically.
- You can use these coupons to send requests for the remaining lessons.
- The validity period for this lesson pack is 90 days starting from the scheduled date and time of the first confirmed lesson.

Even if the first scheduled lesson is canceled, the already set validity period will not change.
You can check the lesson pack’s validity period on the Request > Lesson Pack page.

BBCなどのドキュメンタリー翻訳を手がけていた経験を活かし、時事英語のご指導をいたします。フランスでの生活経験も踏まえ、日本とは異なる多角的な視点で世界のニュースを捉えます。

教材として、オンラインで無料で読めるBBCやReutersの記事を使用します。文化・政治・経済・科学・環境・健康・ファッション・グルメ・スポーツなどの中で、ご興味のある分野の記事を取り上げます。


レッスンの大まかな流れは以下の通りです。

  • Step 1：記事の背景確認 (5分) 事前にお渡しした記事のトピックについて背景知識を確認。

  • Step 2：プロ視点の「徹底精読」 (30分) 記事の重要箇所を音読・精読します。単なる和訳ではなく、「なぜこの構文・文法が使われているのか」に注意します。 ※ご希望に合わせ、２～３レッスンで1記事完結、または１回で重要な段落のみで１記事完成と柔軟に調整します。

  • Step 3：語彙や表現の定着とアウトプット (10分) 記事に登場した重要キーワードやイディオムをピックアップ。それらを使って作文をします。

  • Step 4：本日のまとめと復習アドバイス (5分) 定着度を高めるための復習ポイントをお伝えします。

【予習について】 お忙しい毎日の中で、完璧な予習は必要ありません。事前に共有する記事にサッと目を通し、大まかな内容を把握していただくだけでもOKです。また、初見で挑戦してみるのもOKです。

【復習と宿題について】 レッスンで学んだ「生きた表現」をご自身の言葉で使いこなせるよう、アウトプットの練習を重視します。授業内での作文に加え、ご希望の方には、復習として「学んだ語彙を使った日記や例文づくり」を宿題としてお出しすることも可能です。

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
