Are you curious about the world around us and the issues that shape our everyday lives? 🌍
In this lesson, we explore a wide range of real-world topics through open, thoughtful, and engaging conversation. I hold a Master’s degree in International Development Studies, which gives me an academic foundation in global and social issues. However, this is not a formal lecture or highly academic class. My aim is to make interesting and sometimes complex topics approachable, relatable, and connected to everyday life.
You do not need any previous knowledge. Each lesson can be shaped around your interests and curiosity.
What might a lesson look like?
Depending on the topic, we may use:
- A thought-provoking question to start the conversation
- A photo, headline, short article, or real-life situation as a discussion prompt
- “What would you do?” scenarios to explore different viewpoints
- Compare and contrast activities between countries, cultures, or experiences
- Perspective-taking questions such as looking at an issue through the eyes of different people
- Simple reflection questions at the end to think about what we discovered
Some Topics We Can Explore?
You are always welcome to share your own experiences, opinions, and questions. I will help guide the conversation, introduce different perspectives, and explain relevant background when useful.
This lesson is ideal for anyone who enjoys learning about people and societies, exchanging ideas, discovering different perspectives, and having meaningful conversations in an open and respectful space.
There is no pressure to have the “right” answer. Come with curiosity and your own point of view, and let’s explore the real world together.
