Didn't understand something at work? It's okay to ask!
Sometimes we need help at work. Sometimes we hear English but don't understand everything.
Knowing how to ask for help or clarification can make workplace communication easier and more comfortable.
In this friendly 30-minute Beginner Business English lesson, we will practise simple and useful English for asking for help and checking information.
In this lesson, we will practise:
Asking for help politely
sking when you don't understand
Asking someone to repeat something
Checking and clarifying information
Listening and responding
Practising through simple workplace conversations
We will use examples and guided practice before giving you opportunities to use the English yourself.
Don't worry if you need help during the lesson — that's what we're practising!
If something is difficult, I can slow down, repeat it, give you an example or help you build your answer.
If you are comfortable speaking, we can use additional questions and practise longer workplace conversations.
The goal is to help you feel more comfortable saying something when you need help or don't understand English at work.
You don't need complicated Business English. We will focus on simple, practical communication.
Confused at work? Ask for clarification. Confused before coffee? Ask again later.
