The price displayed is for each 50 minutes session. The lessons are IELTS reading preparation lessons and each lesson is made up of 20 slides. Each slide has images, vocabulary, information and test practice questions. The amount of slides covered depends on each student - some students will speak more than other students. For example, if in a 50 min 15 slides are completed, then when the student books another lesson, the lesson will continue from slide 16. If another student completes all 20 slides in a 50 minute lesson, then the next lesson in the course will start immediately. 

For this 'IELTS reading preparation course' there are currently 20 lessons. The lessons are as follows:

IELTS Reading Success Course – Complete Lesson Chart

Part 1: Foundation & Core Skills (Lessons 1-4)

Lesson 1: Introduction to IELTS Reading

  • Description: Test format (60 mins, 40 questions), Academic vs. General Training differences, band scores, and the importance of time management.
  • Key Practice Activities: Diagnostic overview, self-assessment checklist.

Lesson 2: Skimming & Scanning Techniques

  • Description: How to quickly get the gist of a passage (skimming) and locate specific information (scanning).
  • Key Practice Activities: Timed skimming exercises, scanning for keywords practice.

Lesson 3: Reading for Detail & Understanding Main Ideas

  • Description: How to read carefully for detail, identify main ideas, and understand the writer's overall argument.
  • Key Practice Activities: Practice with short passages, identifying topic sentences and main ideas.

Lesson 4: Vocabulary in Context

  • Description: Strategies for understanding unknown words from context, using synonyms, and building academic vocabulary.
  • Key Practice Activities: Vocabulary matching exercises, context clue practice.

Part 2: Question Types – Matching & Identification (Lessons 5-9)

Lesson 5: Identifying Information (True/False/Not Given)

  • Description: Understanding the difference between True, False, and Not Given. Strategies for finding and verifying information.
  • Key Practice Activities: 10 practice questions with answers and explanations.

Lesson 6: Identifying Writer's Views/Claims (Yes/No/Not Given)

  • Description: Understanding the difference between Yes, No, and Not Given. Distinguishing between facts and opinions.

Lesson 7: Matching Headings

  • Description: How to identify the main idea of each paragraph and match it to a heading.

Lesson 9: Matching Features & Sentence Endings

Part 3: Question Types – Completion & Selection (Lessons 10-15)

Lesson 10: Summary Completion

  • Description: Completing a summary of a passage by selecting words from the text or from a list.

Lesson 11: Note, Table & Flow-Chart Completion

  • Description: Completing notes, tables, and flow-charts based on the passage.

Lesson 12: Sentence Completion
