Your First Steps in English - Let’s Begin Together

A few words can start a conversation
“Hello.” “My name is…” “And you?”
You don’t need a large vocabulary to begin using English. In this lesson, we’ll start with small, useful exchanges and give you time to understand, practise and try them yourself.
Who is this lesson for?
• Adults learning English from the beginning.
• Beginners who recognise some words but struggle to form sentences.
• Learners returning to English who want to revisit the basics.
No previous knowledge is required.
What can we work on?
We’ll choose a manageable goal for each lesson, such as:
• Greeting someone and introducing yourself.
• Asking and answering simple questions.
• Talking about your daily routine or what you enjoy.
• Asking for information in everyday situations.
We’ll build on what you already know, rather than rush through a long list of topics.
How will we learn?
I’ll introduce a few words and expressions using pictures, examples and clear explanations. You’ll hear them, practise their pronunciation and use them in short conversations or role-plays.
We’ll explore grammar through simple sentences, then change parts of those sentences so you can make them your own.
If you need something repeated or explained differently, just ask. French explanations are also available for learners who find them helpful.
Your first lesson
We can begin with greetings and a short introduction. If those are already familiar, we’ll find your next step together.
We’ll finish by revisiting what you practised, and I’ll share brief notes in the lesson chat.
What should you bring?
Something to take notes with is useful. No textbook or special preparation is needed.
During the trial, we’ll discuss your goals and try a short beginner activity.
Let’s start with what you know—even if that’s just “hello”!
