Step 1:Self-introduction
 Hi, I am Deepa, your tutor.

What's your name?








Do you like eating ice cream?
Do you have a best friend at school? What is his/her name?
Do you like sports? 
What do you like doing at school?

Self-introduction builds the confidence of learners when they meet people for the first time and more opportunities to make friends. They are more in control of the situation and it helps them build their sense of identity and belonging.


Have a look at this picture. Can you guess what is about?


Step 2: Key vocabulary phrases in self-introduction


- What's your name? My name is ......
- I am happy to meet you.
- Nice to see you again.
- Excuse me
- Thanks/Thank you
- Nice/good to meet you
-  What do you do?
- Where are you from?
- How old are you?
- Let's get together again some time. 

Step 3: Greeting people

a) Hello. / Hi.

c) Good afternoon.(after 12 o'clock)

e) See you tomorrow.
