Conversation practice about different aspects of climate change
Description
In this lesson we will practice discussing climate change in the context of business internationally.
The lesson will be adapted to cover the areas you are interested and would like to practice and improve your conversational and presenational ability.
The format will be:
1) Question and Answer (5 minutes): I will ask you some initial questions to establish the areas of interest you have. We will identify 2-3 topics to discuss
2) Discussion on 2-4 topics (20 minutes). Topics might include:
- Your main concerns about climate change?
- What your company or government is doing to tackle climate change?
- What are you (or your colleagues or your family) are doing at a personal level?
- What do you think makes the most different?
- Tell me about any signs of climate change that you have seen recently
- What are the best ideas you have seen?
- Which countries do you think have the best policies?
- Tell me about the best technologies you have seen?
- Why is reducing greenhouse gas emissions so difficult?
- Will people have to change their lifestyles in the future? How?
- What opportunities do you see in the future?
- You can add some topics of your choise.
3) Revise the conversation and feedback (5 minutes): noting key words, and advice on pronounciation, grammar and use of conversational or business English.
