Guidance with an Anthropologist

課程介紹

Adjusting to life in the USA means mastering more than just grammar — it’s about knowing what to say, when to say it, and how it will be understood. In this class, you’ll practice real-world English with a Doctor of Anthropology who understands both language and culture. Together, we’ll tackle the situations you actually face as an international student — from speaking up in class to joining casual conversations — so you can communicate naturally, connect confidently, and make the most of your time in America.

  • Practice speaking English for both academic and everyday social settings

  • Learn idioms, slang, and cultural references you’ll actually hear in the USA

  • Master the difference between formal and informal English

  • Develop skills for joining group conversations and making small talk

  • Gain networking strategies for professors, classmates, and professionals

  • Understand the cultural cues that shape American communication styles

I hold a Ph.D. in Anthropology, an M.A. from Yale University, and have trained nearly 100 researchers in the field. I’ve advised high school, university, and graduate students, as well as guided professionals in understanding human behavior, systems, and strategy.
