Do you want to extend your range of vocabulary and understanding of English grammar while exploring a different theme each week? This might be the lesson for you!

 

This is a good lesson for intermediate to advanced level learners who want to work on their English grammar and vocabulary while having a relaxed discussion on specific topics familiar to most English speakers. The lessons will always have a different focus each lesson, and I will notify you about the theme* for the lesson beforehand. There is no need to prepare in advance for the lesson, and some of my students like to test themselves by not preparing so they can see how much they remember.

 

These are some of the lesson topics that we will cover in the second half of 2025:

  • Concentration-what helps you to focus? How is your attention span compared to otheres
  • Crime- What kind of crime has just been committed? Do you experience crime where you are?
  • Media- Let's discuss different types of media, and the different professions in each one. What does a career in media look like?
  • Procrastination- Do you procrastinate? What kind of tools might help you with this habit?

*We can also choose a topic that interests you, or something that you want to practice with a teacher before discussing with friends, colleagues etc.  

With all these topics, I will ask you to express your opinion or say what you think about the topic, and then send you any corrections and notes I take after the lesson so you can review them.
