This lesson will help students to express their opinions in meetings at work or when having discussions with friends or colleagues.
First the lesson will introduce different opinion starters that students can use to begin a sentence when they want to express their opinion.
For example:
I believe that
In my opinion
I completely agree with you
I could not disagree with you more
It could also be argued that
I will then introduce some statements and the students and I can discuss whether we agree or disagree with each statement given. This will give the student chance to voice their opinion using the opinion starter options I introduced previously.
Examples of statements
We will finish with a recap of the opinion starters.
This lesson will work on students vocabulary, pronunciation and general fluency. It will also give students the confidence that they need to express their opinions in English.
