1. Warm-up — 5 minutes

Start naturally:

  • How has your week been?
  • What have you been doing recently?
  • Have you traveled anywhere recently?
  • What do you usually do when you have free time?

Ask follow-up questions instead of moving quickly from one question to another.

2. Main Conversation — 10 minutes

Travel Experiences

  1. What is the most interesting place you have ever visited?
  2. What did you like most about it?
  3. Have you ever had a difficult experience while traveling?
  4. Do you prefer traveling alone or with other people? Why?
  5. What country would you really like to visit?
  6. What would you like to do there?
  7. Do you prefer relaxing holidays or adventurous holidays?

3. Vocabulary & Expressions — 5 minutes

Teach and practice naturally:

  • to travel abroad — travel to another country
  • to explore a place — discover a place
  • to get lost — not know where you are
  • to try local food
  • to have an unforgettable experience
  • to step outside your comfort zone
  • to make memories
  • a dream destination

Ask the student to create 2–3 sentences using these expressions.

4. Opinion Challenge — 5 minutes

Give the student this question:

“Do you think traveling is the best way to learn about other cultures?”
