25 min-lesson: Beginners (for kids)
2-3 mins.: Intro & warm-up - greetings, wave big and smile, check-in and age. I will use TPR and count through fingers.
4-20 mins.: Core Lesson - 1. Colors and shapes (I will use colorful flashcards or toys) for red, blue, green and yellow.
2. Show me game - TPR and Hunt, I will ask the student to show me different colors.
3. Sing a song about colors to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle: (this is my own) Red, Yellow, Stand up tall (Stand up), blue, green, jump, don't fall (Jump), clap your hands, 1, 2, 3 (Clap), sit right down, look at me (Sit down)
4. The circle shape - I will draw a circle using a white board, tell the student what shape and ask him to repeat and draw afterwards. I will also air draw and make sure the student mimics me.
5. Color and shape combo - Draw a red circle on board. Point and ask, I will repeat for the remaining colors.
I will give the student digital star for every correct answer after each phase.
21-25 mins.: My goal is to solidify what was learned, praise the student's success, and exit cleanly. I will say a goodbye song: Twinkle Twinkle tune - Wave your hands and say goodbye,I had fun with you today, clap your hands, 1, 2, 3, blow a kiss from me to you, goodbye, goodbye, see you soon, have a happy happy day.
