Scottish Gaelic is closely related to Irish, and is spoken in Scotland today as a minority language.
 
Whisky, bagpipes, kilts.... these all originate in Scottish Gaelic culture.
 
This lesson will introduce you to the basics of Scottish Gaelic.
 
You will learn some simple introductions, such as, "Ciamar a tha thu?" (How are you?), "Càit a bheil thu a' fuireach?" (Where do you live), etc. and how to answer.

In addition, you can learn about:

Placenames of Gaelic origin
Whisky
Surnames, such as MacDonald, Ferguson
Gaelic words in English
