Подробности урока
This lesson is based around conversation. The student can choose to talk (read) or be spoken to (by me reading). Although the advised emphasis will be on the student reading, to practice their speech and pronunciation.
There are a wide array of topics to choose from (See links below). An almost endless selection of archives on said topics-Although these articles are actually updated breaking news/discoveries initially-Which range from dinosaurs, science, math, anthropology and animals, plus much more.
The student will select a topic. The links will be sent before the lesson. Then the student will read the article in question aloud.
I will listen for pronunciation or any speech deficit. If needed, I then interject and make a correction.
Also the student can alert me to any words they are unfamilair with. There will be a brief pause. We then discuss the meaning of the word (the more basic/understandable synonyms) or even the structure of a sentence etc.
By offering a range of topics. This can cater for the student's own personal interests, whilst also learning new revelations about any topic in question-in addition to learning English-which provides stimulation and motivation.
Providing a range of topics can also allow the student to select a more advanced topic if need be. Such as physics for example. To allow us to explore more complex wording and terminology.
For the more intermediate or advanced student we can then (already aforementioned) briefly discuss the meaning of more unknown complex words, finding a synonym for each word. In this case the student would alert me to any unknown word, we then briefly pause and discuss more simple synonyms.
Conversely. A beginner student may also read and alert me to any word or reference they don't know. Again the more simple meaning will be briefly discussed. Also their needs are catered for with the wide array of topics.
Typically I would also expect to perhaps complete two articles within the 25 minute lesson.
Here is a list of the many topics to choose from. There are subcategories within these links, further expanding the selection to choose from.
Plants and animals
