I have been taking lessons with Koyuki Sensei since October 2023, and throughout that time I have been consistently impressed with the quality of her teaching. When I started, I had almost no knowledge of Japanese. Since then, we have worked through the Genki 1 and Genki 2 textbooks together, and we are now about to begin Quartet. What I appreciate most about Koyuki Sensei's teaching style is the balance she strikes between patience, encouragement, and challenge. Her lessons are always enjoyable and engaging, but she also knows how to push me in the right way so that I continue to improve and stay motivated. She is highly adaptable and is always able to tailor her approach to my individual needs as a learner. I genuinely look forward to every lesson and feel motivated to study between sessions, often thinking ahead to what we will cover next. 予習の必要がなく、短文なので負担なく勉強しやすかったです。類義語や対義語の説明もあり、知っている単語も楽しく学べました。

　そろばんのベテランの先生に、暗算を読んでいただきました。暗算の読み上げには、技術やコツがいるので、ありがたい経験となりました。　今は、AIが発達しましたが、そろばん・暗算は生活で役に立ちます。電卓で数字がはじけるのと、頭の中で答えが出せるのは、全然意味が違います。暗算はAIではとって代わらないので、子供の時に修得しておくと一生何らかの役にたちます。私はそれができました。

受講し始めて、まだ日が浅いですが、それにも関わらず、ひょん先生はすぐに私の得手不得手を見抜いてくださり、それに沿って進めましょうと仰ってくださいました。言い間違えなども聞き流さず、私の持っている単語や表現を引き出そうとしてくれます。はっきり物を言う先生ですが、私には向いている気がします。自分が向上する為に、ひょん先生について行きます^ ^

いつも緊張してしまい上手く話せない私ですが、先生がいつも笑顔で話を聞いて下さるので少しずつリラックスしてレッスンを受けれるようになりました。仕事で忙しくて勉強から離れてしまうことが度々あるのですが、先生のおかげで継続できています。いつもありがとうございます。

This lesson was perfect for me since I love drawing in coloured pencils and blue is my favourite colour to use in art. The tutor gave detailed, clear instructions and was very supportive during the lesson. Thank you for an enjoyable lesson!
