Foundation of English Language

In this lesson I will help students  develop and broaden english vocabulary and practice it in context. This lesson will help students understand the basic building blocks of English Language. This lesson will include readng, writng, vocabulary usage and speaking aspects of the English Language.
Reading as one of the main component of this course will help students with  central means of processing forms and ideas which will help establish academic skills of critical thinking in English.

In addition, students will become familiar understanding new vocabulary.
Through this lesson students will develop writing skills that are needed to produce essays in American/Canadian/British English. My prime focus through this lesson  will be to enable students to understand and help them learn the process of writing,sentence structure, and some grammar. Furthermore, there will be interactive class discussions of readings and writing strategies as well.

Students will also become familiar with North American customs, popular idioms, phrases and expressions that are used in daily life. Students are taught to develop competence in natural conversation through role-play and other listening activities :) 

My aim as a tutor in this particular lesson is to help my students with the basic building blocks of English Language. And by building blocks I mean the basics of this language. Every language has some building blocks. To me language is just like a building, where you need bricks, cement and other materials to help the building to be built and to help it stand. Language is exactly like that. I am by nature a very flexible person and I believe it is best to have an interactive session with my students in a conversational manner. Hence it is best if we dont stick to the textbooks a 100% and use it in times of needs and also use other materials.

 l like to have my sessions for 60 mins. I think that is a standard timing. And learning anythng takes some time and I dont think rushing is a good idea, thats why I like to take an hour to teach my students. My lessons will comprise both my and my students interest. I like to have feedback about my teaching materials and my lesson content materials while teaching.

My lesson for writing will involve looking at different kinds of essays and how the structures of essays needs to be built and what are the tricks to writing a good english essay/composition/paragraph.

My lesson for reading involves both me and the student reading together any complex passage or article and together with the student I would like to solve the dfficulties in a team work format.

And for the speaking/conversational portion-  I will let the student to do different kinds of audio listening activites, in that way it will help them distigush the dffference between different English Accents. And then both me and the student will do role play acivities to further enhance the pronounciation and the speaking aspects :)
