Do you like watching movies?
Do you see them on your computer?
Do you still go to the movie theatre?

Back when I was at university, we could see movies for $1 at the Student Union.

After the film, me and my friends would head to the cafeteria and have a cup of coffee together and talk about the movie we had just seen:
  • What we liked
  • What we didn't like
  • Which character was our favorite
  • How well (or badly) the script was written
  • What we thought about the photography / costumes / decoration
You and I can have the same kind of chat!

We simply agree on a movie we've both seen recently, get together and talk about these kinds of themes:
  • Acting
  • Script
  • Story
  • Character development
  • Design
  • Entertainment value
I like to talk deeply about films: not just "I liked it" or "The special effects were awsome!"

If you take this opportunity, you can practice some useful language:
  • Descriptive language
  • Opinion
  • Pros / Cons
This class is not just "free talking" about cinema: we will look at one or two specific aspects of any movie and try to analyse why it worked or didn't work for each of us.
