The Annual Time-Travel Event (Daylight Saving Time) and Updated Lesson Hours

2026年3月8日

Dear Esteemed Students,

It is that magical time of year again when the United States collectively decides to move all the clocks forward by one hour and pretend this is perfectly normal. Yes—Daylight Saving Time has arrived.

The good news is that I’ve adjusted my schedule to keep things convenient for my students in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Whether you prefer lessons after dinner or first thing in the morning, I've made sure to keep those slots open for you.

Below are my updated teaching hours. I have listed them in Japan/Korea Time, with Taiwan Time included in parentheses.

Evening Lessons

(Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun)

  • Japan & Korea (JST/KST): 7:30 PM – 1:00 AM

  • Taiwan (CST): 6:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Morning Lessons

  • Tuesday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM JST (4:00 AM – 11:00 AM CST)

  • Friday & Saturday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM JST (4:00 AM – 11:00 AM CST)

Note: I have a short break on Tuesday mornings from 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM JST.

What this means for you:

  • Evening Learners: Prime slots are still available after work or dinner across all three regions.

  • Early Birds: Morning sessions are still available for those who want to start their day in English.

  • No Math Required: The booking calendar will automatically display the correct time in your specific local time zone!

Thank you, as always, for your flexibility—and for participating in this annual international experiment in clock adjustment. I look forward to seeing you in our next lesson!

Best regards,

Manning
