Nice to meet you! I’m tutor Poyo.
I prioritize offering enjoyable and easy-to-follow lessons.
Let’s learn natural Korean together through lots of conversation!
I look forward to learning with you ∩^ω^∩
♡・*About Tutor Poyo*◦♡
I’ve lived in the city center my whole life and speak Standard Korean.
It’s been 10 years since I started studying Japanese.
I hold a JLPT N1 certification, so I can teach even complete beginners.
I’m great at translations and proofreading! (=^ェ^=)
*I hold a certification in Japanese-Korean translations.*
You don’t need to worry about making mistakes, so practice speaking Korean in a relaxed way!
※ I believe the more mistakes you make, the faster your Korean will improve.
I’ll explain everything clearly in my feedback, so please rest assured.
♡・*About My Lessons*◦♡
I believe it’s my role as a language tutor to spark your interest in Korean and help you develop a habit of studying.
I’ll do my best to make sure you see my lessons as a fun experience rather than just studying.
*During lessons, I’ll be typing on the keyboard, so I won’t be able to see you through the screen.
(I’ll have my video turned off.)
♡・*Why Poyo Korean is Special*◦♡
1. A Fun Experience
Tutor Poyo has just one goal:
“To offer lessons where my students can feel, ’this is fun!’”
As you engage in free-talking in a relaxed atmosphere, just like chatting with a friend,
you’ll find yourself gaining confidence in Korean before you know it.
2. Feedback
★I take great pride in my lesson feedback, so I take the time to prepare it carefully:
1. Personalized feedback tailored to each student
2. Handwritten messages
3. Weekly Poyo (A one-page summary of tutor Poyo’s picks, including current trends in South Korea, this week’s Korean expressions, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural insights / I create one each week.)
*Exceptional quality*
*Sent as a PDF*
*Usually 7 to 8 pages long*
*“Weekly Poyo” is sent to everyone who takes my lessons*
I correct unnatural or incorrect expressions, turning them into natural Korean,
compile expressions you learned for the first time, and provide grammar explanations. This isn’t just feedback. Rather, it’s a personalized text tailored to each individual.
I use illustrations to help you review what you’ve learned, so you can enjoy studying on your own.
If you print them out and collect them, you’ll end up with your very own “special Korean book”!
*I aim to send feedback within 24 hours of the lesson ending.*
