Nice to meet you! My name is Gen.
【About me】
Nice to meet you. My name is Gen, and I’m a Japanese teacher.
I live in Kobe, Japan, and I have been working as a Japanese teacher for four years.
I teach Japanese online to learners all over the world – not only people living in Japan, but also students from Southeast Asia and even Kenya in Africa.
My students range from complete beginners to advanced learners, and their ages vary from teenagers to working adults and seniors.
I am a certified Japanese teacher, and I can help you with vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and conversation.
I also offer JLPT preparation lessons from N5 to N2.
Recently, more and more English and Spanish teachers have started taking my lessons to study Japanese.
Because they also work as language teachers, they are very strict about how clearly things are explained – but I’m happy to say that I’ve received very positive feedback from them.
I also have qualifications in the medical field and experience teaching at a university.
Thanks to this background, I can teach Japanese related to the body, illnesses, and hospitals, including expressions that are commonly used in medical situations.
In my daily life, I do several different kinds of work. Recently, I’ve even been working at a place where I make takoyaki.
If you’re interested, you’re very welcome to talk with me about how to make takoyaki and about Japan’s “flour food culture.”
My hobbies are riding my motorbike, fishing, traveling, and playing games (I play APEX).
In casual conversation lessons, we can talk about these hobbies while you practice natural Japanese.
