Hello, future students! My name is Mika Bennett, and I am excited to be your online English teacher on Cafetalk. With a deep passion for teaching and a love for language, I have dedicated myself to helping students from all over the world improve their English skills.


About Me

I have a background in teaching English, having started as a volunteer online English teacher for Ukrainian students. This experience has honed my teaching skills, making me patient, understanding, and adaptable to various learning styles. In addition to my teaching experience, I have formal work experience in a law clinic and retail, which has given me a unique perspective on the practical applications of language skills in professional settings. Currently, I am also a law student, further enhancing my ability to teach English in contexts that require precision and clarity. I enjoy working with students of all ages, from young children to adults, and tailoring my lessons to meet their unique needs.

 

My Interests

Beyond teaching, I have a wide range of interests that I love to incorporate into my lessons. I am an avid reader and have a great love for literature, which means I can bring a wealth of knowledge about books and storytelling into our sessions. I also enjoy watching movies, hiking, and meeting new people, which adds a fun and relatable dimension to our interactions. My diverse interests allow me to connect with students on various topics, making our lessons more engaging and enjoyable.

My teaching style is dynamic and interactive. I use various methods, including props, visual aids, and real-life examples, to make learning engaging and effective. I believe in adjusting my teaching pace to suit each student's learning speed, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and confident. Patience and punctuality are core values in my teaching approach, and I take pride in providing high-quality education. My background in law and retail also equips me to teach English with a focus on practical and professional communication skills, making our lessons both informative and applicable to real-world scenarios.
