Hello there, My name is Kaluba or "Kay". I have a background in sales and customer service and use my prior experience to be the utmost engaging English tutor. I have a passion for helping others hence why I began freelancing as an English language coach. I have over 4 years experience working with a diverse range of adult students predominantly from Europe and the Americas (Spain, Finland, France, Brazil & Mexico).
English is my native language and have intermediary knowledge of Russian and in the beginner stage of learning German.

- In my free time I indulge in self care practices like long walks and cooking up a nutritious meal - I like to think of myself as a "Foodie". I like to dance when I'm alone at home as most introverts do. I love animals - I have 3 cats. Occasionally, I draw and write poetry as way to de-stress. I go to church on Sundays & enjoy watching game shows. I am well versed in current affairs and enjoy learning about different cultures & places.
- I understand what it's like to learn a new language and how hard and intimidating it can be therefore I exercise patience with all my students . I have a neutral accent & speak slow and deliberately so that you can hear and understand words clearly. I give constructive criticism and correction where necessary. I have a good sense of humor to keep lessons fun and interactive as that lessens the stress that comes with learning a second language. I give plenty of positive feedback to keep my students encouraged, motivated and excited to keep on learning. My goal is to help you build your vocabulary and to get you speaking English fluently and confidently.
- I personally believe that "Practise makes progress" therefore my lessons and teaching style involve frequent conversation practice through guided topic discussions, article reading and writing exercises. We will go through texts and articles on what ever topic is relevant to you, in order to help improve your pronunciation and expand your vocabulary. Interactive sessions are a fun way to get students interested and motivated to learn more about a particular subject and it's also a tool to teach general knowledge about the world. I also offer proof reading of reports, homeworks or assignments for students that take English classes or courses in College/University and other services for working professionals.
