Hello everyone! My name is Juzi,and you can also call me Rebekah. It’s very nice to meet you here!

I am a native Mandarin Chinese teacher, born and raised in northern China, with about 20 years of experience teaching Chinese. I have taught students from Japan, Korea, the United States, and other countries.

I love the Chinese language, and I also enjoy meeting and communicating with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds. For me, teaching Chinese is not only about learning vocabulary and grammar. More importantly, I want to help students understand Chinese, feel comfortable speaking, and use Chinese naturally in real-life situations.

I am a patient, kind, and responsible teacher. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel stressful, especially when you are afraid of making mistakes. In my classes, you don’t need to worry about making mistakes. I will patiently help you practice step by step, so you can learn Chinese in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some Chinese experience, I will adjust the lessons according to your level, learning goals, and interests.

I currently live in beautiful Hawaii. If you are interested in life, nature, food, and culture in Hawaii, we can also talk about real life in Hawaii while practicing Chinese together.

My Five Chinese Courses

① Everyday Chinese Conversation

This course is suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to improve their everyday Chinese communication skills.

We will learn useful vocabulary, sentence patterns, and everyday conversations. Through speaking practice, you will gradually learn how to introduce yourself and talk about family, work, daily life, shopping, food, travel, and other common topics.

My goal is not only to help you learn Chinese, but also to help you feel comfortable speaking, express yourself, and use Chinese in everyday life.

② HSK Chinese

This course is suitable for students who are preparing for the HSK exam or who would like to study Chinese in a more systematic way.

According to your Chinese level and learning goals, I can help you practice vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and speaking.

If you have a specific exam goal, we can also focus on the areas you need most and create a study plan that works for you.

③ Business Chinese

This course is suitable for students who need to use Chinese at work or want to improve their business communication skills.

We can learn practical Chinese for the workplace, such as introducing yourself, talking about your company and job, arranging meetings, communicating with colleagues and clients, making appointments, and expressing your opinions.

I will help you learn practical and natural Chinese expressions so that you can feel more confident using Chinese at work.

④ Everyday Chinese Conversation Practice

Have you studied some Chinese but don’t have many opportunities to practice speaking?

This course is for you.

We can have relaxed conversations based on your interests and everyday experiences, such as family, work, travel, hobbies, Chinese culture, and daily life.

During our conversations, I can help you improve your pronunciation, grammar, and natural expressions, and show you more natural ways to say what you want to express.

You don’t need to be afraid of making mistakes. We will practice together in a relaxed environment, so you can gradually speak Chinese more naturally, fluently, and confidently.

⑤ Discover Hawaii Through Chinese

This is a special course that combines Chinese learning with life and culture in Hawaii.

I currently live in Hawaii, so we can use Chinese to talk about local life, food, nature, travel, and culture. We can also share interesting experiences about real life in Hawaii.

You can practice Chinese while discovering beautiful Hawaii at the same time.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe learning a language should not be something that makes you feel afraid or stressed.

Every student learns at a different pace, and everyone has different strengths and areas they would like to improve. As a teacher, I don’t want to put pressure on my students. I want to patiently support you and help you improve step by step.

In my classes, you don’t need to worry about making mistakes. Even if your expression is not perfect, that’s okay. I will listen patiently and help you find more natural and accurate ways to express yourself.

One of the things that makes me happiest as a teacher is seeing a student go from being afraid to speak Chinese, to becoming willing to speak, and eventually being able to communicate with confidence.

I hope my classes can not only help you learn Chinese, but also help you enjoy the process of learning a new language.
