Hi!
My name is Nelly. I’m from Hungary and I also live in Hungary now, but I have worked in the USA before and I have taught English in Thailand. I have been working as an English teacher for two years and my students seem to like my lessons and I love teaching them as well. Especially when they have a successful experience using the language or they pass an exam, I’m so happy for them.
I like travelling and get to know different cultures and people, I’m especially interested in the Japanese culture, even I’ve started to learn Japanese, so I can speak a little.
I also love yoga and other sports, but yoga is my favourite, I practice it almost every day. I love sci-fi books (and movies). And I really like hiking in the nature.
About my teaching experience:
I have taught kids and adults as well. I was a high school English teacher for one year, but now I only teach in small groups, and private lessons. Now I teach English for companies and I have some private students. Actually I prefer one-on-one teaching, because this way I can personalize the lesson much better for my student’s needs and monitor the improvement.
About my qualifications: I have a Master’s Degree in Economics and also I have a TEFL certificate.
About my lessons:
For me it’s very important to conduct the lesson in a stress and pressure free way and make the lesson an enjoyable experience for both of us.
Also I like to explain grammar in a summarized, clear and understandable way. I like to put every lesson in a context.
When we study something new, I like to put it to use right away, so whenever we learn new grammar or vocabulary we start to practice it.
I usually correct the mistakes in grammar or pronunciation. But it’s totally up to you, how often you want me to correct you.
Also I can give you homework about the new topic, if you want and we can check it next time.
You can choose any lesson type, which you think is interesting for you or depending on what you would like to improve: your grammar, your vocabulary, or your pronunciation, or maybe you just want to talk.
If you are not sure, where to start than book a free talk session, and at the end of the lesson I can tell you which type of lesson I recommend to you.
