I am from the middle of the United States, but I have lived in multiple countries over the years, including Japan.
出身はアメリカの真ん中ですが、日本を含むいろいろな国に住んだ経験があります。
My hobbies include hiking, weight training, tabletop RPGs, and studying Japanese.
趣味はハイキングやウエイトトレーニング、テーブルトックRPG、日本語の勉強です。
Teaching Experience
In Japan I taught English to high school students in Oita for 5 years while also running an English club and debate team. I also spent some time giving private lessons to adults and families.
5年間に日本の大分県で英語の教師として働いて、英語のクラブと英語ディベートのチームを運営しました。さらに、時々大人や家族にも個人指導しました。
Afterwards, I spent a year and a half studying Japanese in Tokyo, so I can do some explanation in Japanese if you need it.
後で、一年間半に東京で日本語を勉強しました。それで、もし必要なら、日本語で少し説明できます。
Teaching Style
I like to keep a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, but I take my work very seriously. Everyone has different goals and learning styles, so I will adjust my style to suit yours.
温かく迎える雰囲気を作り出すことが大切だと思いますが、仕事を重要視しています。各人は別の目標や別の学習スタイルがあるので、顧客のスタイルに合わせるために私の教え方を変えます。
To be effective, I think lesson should be fun and engaging. That is why I offer tabletop RPG lessons for intermediate and advanced learners. It can use all four learning areas, reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while letting learners enjoy themselves.
有効であるために,楽しくて面白い授業が重要だと思います。その理由で、中級と上級の顧客にテーブルトックRPGの授業を提供しています。楽しみながら、読むことと書くこと、聞くこと、話すことも全て練習できます。
