Hello! My name is Tatenda, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Cafetalk community!

About Me

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to teach English across diverse cultures and environments. My journey began in South Africa, where I worked as an English Language Instructor for 7 years. This experience ignited my passion for teaching and prepared me for my next adventure in Japan. As an ALT in Japan, I embraced the unique challenges and joys of teaching in a foreign country.

Teaching Style

I believe that learning should be an enjoyable and dynamic experience. My teaching style is highly interactive and student-centered, focusing on creating a positive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. I use a variety of teaching methods, including games, role-playing, and real-life scenarios, to make lessons fun and relevant. My goal is to help you build confidence and proficiency in English through practical and enjoyable activities.

Personality

I’m a friendly and energetic person who loves to connect with people from all walks of life. My students often describe me as approachable, patient, and enthusiastic. I’m dedicated to understanding each student’s individual needs and goals, and I strive to tailor my lessons to meet those needs effectively. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your advanced skills, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Interests and Hobbies

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy exploring new cultures and cuisines, hiking, and reading. Living in Japan has allowed me to indulge in my love for Japanese food and traditions, and I’m always excited to share my experiences and learn from my students as well.
