Hello! My name is Jannilie Maghinay from Cebu City, Philippines. I have 5 years of experience as an ESL teacher, working with students of different ages, levels, and cultural backgrounds.

Aside from teaching, I enjoy cooking, eating sweets, and cafe hopping—because nothing inspires good conversation like a nice cup of coffee and a slice of cake!

In my classes, I value a positive and supportive student-teacher relationship. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to speak, make mistakes, and grow in confidence.

My goals during the class are to:

  • Help students communicate effectively in English for real-life situations.

  • Build their confidence through engaging and interactive lessons.

  • Respect and adapt to their learning pace, culture, and needs.

Whether my student is a beginner, an advanced learner, a young child, a teenager, or an adult professional, I tailor my lessons to make learning both productive and enjoyable.
