What is Dokken?
Dokken or "Diplom Deutsch in Japan" is a German language proficiency exam for Japanese speakers administered by Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Germanistik (Foundation for the promotion of German Literature).
It has become the most recognized test of its kind in Japan, evident by the fact that successful candidates of the level 1 Dokken exam are automatically exempt from the written section of the Licensed Guide exam offered by the Japan National Tourism Organization.
Dokken has six levels from level 5 to 1 including Pre-1.
