A Game You Can Play at Home with Your Children!

Tracy R.

Hello Everyone!

Have you ever played Simon Says? I bet some of you have heard of this game. I've seen it used sometimes in elementary school or preschool classrooms in Japan to teach children English in a fun and engaging way. We also played this game when I was a child in school since it's fun and it also challenges children to really pay attention to what the teacher (or leader) is saying.

Here is an article that teaches you about Simon Says. You can listen along as you read the transcript or challenge yourself by just listening to the audio alone (The audio is slower than native speed so many of you will probably understand most of what she says.) https://learningenglish.voanews.com/a/grammar-games-at-home-simon-says/5382485.html

Do you want to try playing Simon Says with your children at home? Feel free to request a lesson so I can help you prepare for it and give you lots of phrases to use!

Have a great day!
