Writing Tips for Clear and Precise Writing

Ishan Mainali

1. Do not write extremely long sentences unless they are absolutely important.

2. Use easy words if you are unsure of the meaning of more difficult words.

3. If a word gives a more precise meaning than another word or group of words (phrases), use that word.

4. For a new idea, change the paragraph. One paragraph for one idea is a good writing practise.

5. Present your main idea in the first paragraph if possible.
