Fear

2021年6月26日

Fears. Find a thing and somebody, somewhere is afraid of it. That thing won’t scare another person. And some people aren’t afraid of anything.

Fear is something that can be enjoyable in controlled amounts. People ride roller coasters and watch thrillers and horror movies to feel that sensation in a safe, controlled environment. But usually, fear is something we would rather avoid.

Some common things people fear are spiders, and sharks or being at high places (‘afraid of heights’). Studies sometimes point out that people fear public speaking (speaking in front of a large audience) more than anything else.

They say, there is nothing to fear, but fear itself. That may be true. What do you think?
