New Year's Resolution!

Weekly Topic: New Year's resolution

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you have all had a great New Year's celebration. I know my family did. We enjoyed a lovely couple of days of lots of food and remembering the past year and discussing the things we want to do better next year (now this year!).

So, let me post about my number one New Year's goal. I think my husband's and my #1(read: number one) goal this year is to: Finish our homestead!

That's right. Even though we've lived here for 2 years now, things are still not set up as we want them. Our house is still unfinished, our property still doesn't have fencing around the perimeter (the outside boundary), and we don't have a horse or a cow yet, which was a goal once we set things up. Our poor chickens and ducks are stuck in a small pen (a place where animals live outside with just fencing) so we have to feed them every day.

Part of the problem has been how busy my husband and I always are. The other big problem has been Covid-19. Prices are really high for lots of things right now, and it's been really difficult to find anyone to hire to help with certain jobs. (and even if you can find someone to hire, often they charge more than my husband and I can afford!)

But this year, we plan to get all of the last major things done! Wish us luck in achieving our goal!

Did you make any New Year's resolutions? If you did, please let me know! You can write them down in the comments, or you can request a lesson and we can chat about them. If your goals are specifically English related, feel free to request a lesson and tell me about your goals so I can help you with them!

Have a wonderful 2022~!!
