Do you keep a journal of your daily experiences ?

Suja

Writing improves with frequent practice, the same way in which  fluency in speech improves with practice.

Your writing skills can however become rusty whenever you take a hiatus in practice.

A good way to keep up with practice is to keep each writing session short but at the same time, consistent.

Consider documenting your daily reflections onto a journal or diary. Keeping your diaries digital cuts down on paper clutter and enables you to write while you're on the move - like when you commute back home from work, for instance.

Taking a photo that accompanies your piece of writing can capture your reflections and experiences in an interesting way. It helps you look back on your writings and relive your memories.

Pick a theme for each of your journals and give them a title or heading.

Here are some areas you might wish to write about:
Describing a moment spent with a friend you met
Reflecting upon a news article you read and sharing your views on it
Something you saw on social media and sharing your opinion on it
An interesting conversation you had with someone
A gift you were given that you liked
A special occasion celebrated such as a birthday, an anniversary etc

If you haven't considered starting a journal

Some writings revolve around my reflections during my walks . Sometimes I would reflect upon the news I had watched in the morning or an article or a blog I had read on social media. At other times, I would reflect upon a conversation I had with a friend and the views that we shared. I would then document some of these reflections in writing through a journal.

If you haven't started a journal yet, get started at the link below.
